. Full-Time (Orientation Programmes and Refresher Course)

1. The programs organized by LNIPE-MMTTC are full time. Adequate arrangements are made by the MMTTC to ensure that the residential character of the course is maintained throughout.
2. Participating lecturers are deputed by the respective college/ university for the entire duration of the course.
3. Teachers selected for the program are treated as on duty with full pay and allowances by the sponsoring university/ college.
4. Participants may be drawn from the institutions falling within the State, and up to 25 percent may be taken on an all-india basis to promote national integration. In case sufficient number is not available within the State the HRDC may take participants from other States.
5. The number of participants in a course should be about 20 and above. In case sufficient number of participants is not available in a particular subject / course, the UGC-MMTTC may consult with nearby MMTTC that has been allotted the same subject by the UGC in order to exchange participants among themselves, so as to ensure optimum number of participants in a course.
6. All courses will be organized through UGC-MMTTCs.
7. While organising refresher courses (RCs), care should be taken to ensure that the faculty of the concerned department is fully involved.
8. Punctuality, regularity, participation and purposefulness in highly emphasized.
9. Successful candidates will be issued certificates as per the format (Annexures XII and XIII). The UGC-MMTTC may even disallow the issue of certificate to participants on valid reasons.
10. E-Content and development of learning object material technology may be used for Orientation Programmes and Refresher Cources in the MMTTCs and add on e-courses may be introduced. The MMTTCs may have their own website.

2. Short-term (6-days)
Apart from Refresher Courses and Orientation Programmes fro faculty, the MMTTC shall conducts short term courses of about 6 days duration in various fields for the professional development of senior faculty viz. Professors and Readers.

3. Interaction program (14 days)
Students at Ph.D./ post-doctoral levels from centre of Advanced Studies / Department of special Assistance (CAS/DSA) may take part in the special interaction programs to be organized by LNIPE-MMTTC under the RCs scheme. Such programs will be in the form of workshops/ seminars only. Duration of this program will be about 3 weeks. Main focus of this program is interaction between Ph.D. postdoctoral scholars and teachers. The pattern for such programs will be similar to that for the RCs. The Students participants shall be treated at par with the participants in refresher course in respect of payment of TA/DA.
